November Newsletter

Curriculum Corner:  We will be studying about Native Americans, North America, and the historical and human aspects of Thanksgiving.  We will do sensory exploring with acorns, corn, and leaves. We will be making homemade cornbread, homemade cranberry sauce, and thumpkin pumpkin cookies. Our letters for this month will be Ff & Gg.  The numbers will be 6 & 7. Our color this month will be brown, and the shape is rectangle.

Slippers for cozy feet and clean carpets:  During the cold and muddy winter months we like to have the children bring a pair of slippers to use at school. Most of you already have a pair here, but if you don’t, please send a pair of slippers that your child can easily put on and off by themself.  Please mark slippers, sweaters, and coats in case we have duplicates. Thank you!

A Few Friendly Reminders:

  • Make sure to keep a change of warm clothing in your child’s cubby
  • Day light savings ends Sunday, November 3rd.  Remember to turn your clocks back one hour
  • Mon., Nov. 11th, Veterans Day/School closed
  • Wed. Nov. 27to Fri., Nov. 29th, Thanksgiving/School closed

Grateful and Thankful! In the season of being thankful I would like to sincerely thank each family for your wonderful children! They bring so much joy and love into my life!
